Now, for the LONGEST time, I've never laid eyes on a Caucasian named Kisha. Every Kisha I've ever came across just happened to be African-American, or even a person of color. The first time I've ever met a Kisha, who wasn't the "usual" Kisha, was at a eye contact fitting. Yes folks, a White girl named Kisha fitted me for my first pair of contacts....strange, but true! Therefore, "KEY - SHA'S" CAN in fact cross color lines, just as all "Beckys" aren't White! Hmmmmm......
Sooooo....I'm NOT saying that this newcomer's name isn't pronounced "KEH - SHA". I'm not saying that she changed the pronounciation to "distinguish" herself from the norm, or what you would usually expect or refer to as the minority-favorite name. I'm not saying that her record company persuaded her to do something a little "different" to stand out. BUT, doesn't it make for an interesting discussion? Have YOU ever met a "KEH -SHA", regardless of the ethnic background?!? Okay, I AM old, and maybe this is just the new generation's way of saying "Kesha", right? Umph, umph, umph...these kids today! (LOL!) I'm just saying, it's all very interesting!
Y'all can just call me "KEH - SHA" for now on, and please make sure to add the dollar sign when spelling it, to really give me my authentic ghetto-pass! "KEY - SHA" has left the building.....
