Kelly is the new FOSSE!

So, when did it become the new video standard to be half "neckkid" and participate in an on-screen orgy?  Oh yeah, when Paula Abdul did it FIRST with her Cold Hearted Snake video back 1991.  (Luvs her!) 

Since then, I've seen Janet, Christina A, Britney, Kesha, Keri Hilson and maybe even Lady GaGa do it. There they are...all writhing-around, sweaty, hot & crazy for each other!  So, how does that go along with the songs? Low-budget for paying the video director? 

Director's voice shouting through megaphone:

"Okay kids, let's shoot this again, but this time, give me more UMFFPH and move those pelvises!  I...WANT...SEX people, I'm talking, give me a MARILYN MONROE & JANE RUSSELL sandwich!  Now GO! ACTION"

Now, don't get me wrong, I'm really feeling this song from Kelly...really!  I like it!  It has a good beat, and you can dance to it (...like my American Bandstand reference there? LOL!)  Seriously, this will be on my treadmill/work-out iPod rotation.  Additionally, adding a lil bit of Lil Wayne doesn't hurt!  But-er-um, I could really do without the orgy-like, Sodom & Gomorrah video!  How's about, something like, A PLOT for a change in a video?  You know like, since the song is entitled Motivation, she could be motivating her guy to get a promotion at work?  Um, motivating her guy to be more romantic in the relationship?  Now, how can we illustrate this on-screen?  You've got me!  Maybe that's why I'm not a director and they don't pay me the big bucks!  LOL!

Okay, so maybe this video is not for me, right?!?  There are hands everywhere, (and I mean everywhere) on Kelly and her dancers.  So, maybe this video is meant for um...people who go to Hedonism resorts for vacay?  Maybe it's meant for people who have...different...Friday night dates?  Or maybe it's just meant for regular red-blooded American men (and some women!), who happen to appreciate the occasional orgy-scene in their daily music video viewing?
